We wanted to try something a little different with Anna and Vivian. We’ve done a few beach engagement sessions but we’ve never done one near a pier so we met them at the pier at Huntington Beach. We were a little nervous because we’ve never done a gay or lesbian engagement session before. So we decided to let them take a walk on the pier so we can get some candid pictures and let the light get a little more dramatic. We took a few posed pictures at the end of the pier and by the time we headed underneath the pier everybody was pretty relaxed. In fact Anna and Vivian did a good job of showing us who they are and since the lighting was spectacular, we ended up with some great images and looking forward to photographing their wedding.
