Photographing Matthew and Renee’s wedding was like coming full circle for us as wedding photographers. After all it was our friends wedding at the same location that prompted us to consider professional photography. The ceremony took place at Fleur De Lis Chapel in Upland, California. We found the front of the chapel be a great place for pictures. After the ceremony we took them to Chaffey High and photographed their formals by Gardiner Spring Auditorium. We have always loved the architecture of this former college. When we arrived we were surprised to find a graduation ceremony taking place in the auditorium. That was only a minor set back but we did have to park at the far end of the parking lot. Renee made many of the pictures shine with her easy smile and genuine expressions. She’s a natural. The reception took place on the grounds of the Ontario Airport Marriot. We are familiar with the grounds because that’s where we took some of Nick and Jona’s wedding pictures. It was near the end of the reception that I realized that the Father of the Groom had a familiar face. In fact he had been a member of our church. Thinking about this wedding usually leaves me humming “It’s a small world” to myself.
